What a day I had today! I was out and about all day and I somehow managed to lose my wallet. I was using an open tote bag as a purse so its possible I could of been pick pocketed; I do live in New York after all, and let's face it: people aren't the nicest bunch here nor do I feel safe when I'm walking alone. Not too many people are good samaritans but hopefully...mayyyybe in this case I might get it back in the mail? I won't hold my breath. I'm usually very anal about being organized so the fact that I lost something, especially my wallet, had me frantic for a good 4 hours! I also started to think about how whenever I see people on the street drop something, I always run up to them and tell them. So wouldn't it have been nice if somebody actually saw it fall out of my bag and told me about it? Maybe they thought I was rich and had all this money in there. Here's where karma comes in: I only had about $6 in my wallet! Whoever found it probably wasn't too thrilled hahahah.
After I had my 400th panic attack, I started to realize that it could have been worse. Someone could have put a knife to my throat and stole it. My Blackberry and my iPod were in my bag too and thankfully, I did not lose those. Everything that was in there was replaceable. Sometimes when you get into sticky situations like this, all you can do is turn it around and think of the positive..and look at pictures like this:
How do you deal with bad situations? Are you the type to panic or do you just go with the flow?
